“Since ancient times we have used God-given talents and abilities to make beautiful objects. Craft design and creation can be an enjoyable and relaxing hobby, or become a fulfilling career. Many of the crafts so popular today can be considered Folk Art. Folk Art is creating something not just as an art form, but also for some practical reason. With the melding of cultures that America represents, it is not hard to understand why there are so many crafts and forms of Folk Art that are popular today.

Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur of the tribe of Judah and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kids of crafts – to make artistic design for work in gold, silver, and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship.
