First Fridays in the Crossroads is quickly becoming a Kansas City tradition. Galleries and shops stay open late so that you can browse the collections, showcasing both local and national artists. You’ll find both indoor and outdoor entertainment, and many restaurants in the neighborhood offer First Fridays specials, too.
First Fridays is open to children, but many galleries are too crowded for strollers.
First Friday of every month, January – December, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Location: The Crossroads Community is a mile wide downtown area of Kansas City bounded by 15th St., I-35, the Freighthouse district, and Troost Ave. The heart of the Crossroads Arts District lies long 20th St. and Baltimore.
Visiting an artist’s gallery or viewing a collection is a requirement of several of the badges in the Arts Frontier.
