“A Christmas Celebration” at Missouri Town 1855, Dec. 14

The unique customs of our English, German and French settlers are brought to life while celebrating Christmas at this historic antebellum community. The smell of wood burning fireplaces, period music and authentic decorations make this a “must attend” holiday experience. A special visit by Belsnickle will thrill the children who will be treated with candy or a lump of coal!

AHG Information Meeting, Gardner, KS — Monday, Nov. 18

There will be an American Heritage Girls informational meeting tonight at Fellowship Bible Church (16900 Waverly Road, Gardner, KS), 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. All parents of daughters are welcome to come and find out more. Formal meetings will be starting up in the fall twice a month on Monday evenings. The Gardner group will be partnered with Trail Life USA (for boys 5-18 yrs.) which will also be meeting at FBC in Gardner on Mondays. Both groups are faith-based scouting groups and we’d love to have you join us this evening and learn more about American Heritage Girls!

Englewood Art Walk, Nov. 15

The Englewood Station Arts District of Western Independence, Missouri is alive with art, street performers, music, food, fashion and fun each 3rd Friday! Multiple galleries and businesses that feature art are within an easy stroll of one another along Winner Road from Sterling to Ralston Avenues. Opening our doors for a free 3rd Friday Art Walk event each month, a rotating collection of over four dozen local and regional artists display their creativity for sale here, and are regularly on-site for meet and greet.
