Google is my friend, because it lets me find special treats like this — a pair of videos put together by KS0167 featuring the AHG Oath Song and Old Glory. This Troop shares it’s hometown with Fort Leavenworth, an active U.S. Army installation, and a number of their member families have ties to the U.S. Military. Part of the AHG Oath is to “honor my country”, and these girls understand that part well!
Great news! We have confirmed there is a Troop in the process of filing their official launch paperwork in Parkville, Missouri. They’re hoping to hold an informational meeting for parents in August, with an eye to holding a first Troop meeting in September, but I know they would love to hear from you NOW!
Contact Dianna Marroquin, Troop Coordinator, for more information!
The Overland Park Troop will be hosting a series of information meetings the weekend of March 24-25. Everyone is welcome to come learn more about AHG, whether or not Overland Park is the most suitable location for your family.
We will meet at Grace Church, 159th and Antioch. We have five different times to choose from — 500 or 630 p.m. on Saturday the 24th, or 800, 930, or 1100 on Saturday the 25th.
Children are welcome to attend the meeting with you, or there are children’s Sunday school classes available for newborns – 5th grade.
For more information, please contact me or call the church at 913-814-7223.
Hope you can join us!
Keelie Shrader, Troop Coordinator
We will have representatives from a number of the area Troops at a booth in the Exhibitors Hall. You can stop by and pick up information, ask questions, and meet some of the leaders and older girls.
We will also be presenting a workshop and discussion panel Friday at 9:00 a.m. We’ll be discussing the AHG program in general, how participation in a Troop looks for an average family, and the differences between joining an existing Troop and establishing a new one of your own.
You can find all the necessary information about the conference on the Midwest Parent Educators website.
