Scout Pumpkin Science Lab at Faulkner’s Pumpkin Farm

Sorry we didn’t find this one earlier — hope you can still try it!

Scout Pumpkin Science Lab at Faulkner’s Pumpkin Farm
Oct 1, 2012 to Oct 31, 2012 — 10:00 am until 6:00 pm

Available the entire month of October to anyone and everyone, with the purchase of admission ($7/person + tax, 2 and under free).

Faulkner’s Pumpkin Ranch has developed a unique scientific adventure to earn a “Faulkner Pumpkin Patch!” As a ‘Pumpkin Scientist’, you will conduct experiments involving density, weight and measurement. Scout groups that would like to purchase our “Faulkner Pumpkin Patch” after completing the experiments may do so at $3.00 per patch.

We can’t find any specific badge requirements that would be met, but it still sounds like fun!

Kansas Cosmosphere

Looking for an indoor adventure? Consider the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson, Kansas. They have proven more than willing to work with AHG in offering a custom badge program — consider both Living & Working In Space and Space Exploration. Have a blast!

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

American Heritage Girls partnered with the NURFC in Fall 2009 to provide girl members with the opportunity to earn requirements for the Freedom Seekers badge. NURFC is a one of a kind museum located in Cincinnati, OH. The purpose of the center is to tell the story of the struggle for freedom in the United States through exhibits and programs that focus on the history of America’s battle to rid slavery. It includes the stories of the many men and women of all backgrounds who hated slavery and their development of a secret network of escape routes that came to be called “the Underground Railroad.” http://www.nurfc.org/
