Take a walk around MGC and learn about all the wonderful resources available for genealogy and history research. Each department will be explored as we tour the building, displays, periodicals, microforms, special classes and events, rare books, full book collection, maps, and archived materials. Beginning level.
Note: this event is designed for adults, though the registration form does not ask for age. Therefore, we can only recommend this for Pioneers and Patriots working on Ancestor Detector, and it would probably be best for a parent or other adult to attend as well.
Join us for Kansas Day at the mission. History comes to life in Citizens of Our Cemetery, written by Fairway resident and volunteer Don Carlton. The play honors the accomplishments of family members and residents of Shawnee Indian Mission. Birthday cake will be served after the performance. Admission is free.
