Notable from the MPE Conference — we have a lot of families looking for a Troop in Lee’s Summit, MO! There is obviously a desire for the AHG program in that city.
Are you part of a church or other Christian non-profit in Lee’s Summit? Can you help make an introduction to the pastor or another leader? We have a number of volunteers who are willing to take it from there, but we need your help in making that initial contact.

The MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center is proud to present its fourth annual high school fine arts competition and exhibit, The Lee’s Summit Fine Arts Challenge, featuring the works of fine arts students at the three Lee’s Summit high schools.
Exhibition dates: January 24 – February 23
Gallery hours: Wednesday – Saturday noon-4 p.m.

This would be an interesting alternative to the gallery tours necessary for Artastic, showing the girls what other young people have been creating.
AHG health and safety rules require there be at least one First Aid and CPR trained leader per Unit present at any Troop activity — and more are always better!
Offered on the 1st Thursday of each month. (Take the class one time, choose the date you prefer.)
This 2-hour course covers skills needed for the adult, child or infant victim. Skills taught include CPR and choking management. This class is appropriate for anyone who is not a healthcare provider but needs certification for employment. The American Heart Association class is taught by instructors from Lee’s Summit Medical Center. Fee is $25. To register, call Nurses On-Call at (816) 282-5060. Payment is received day of class.
