AHG Guide To Religious Recognitions

The wonderful people over at P.R.A.Y. have put together a very useful booklet on the AHG Religious Recognitions program. It is available for download here.

As a reminder, religious recognitions are a very useful part of the Spiritual Development Program Emphasis, it is a requirement of the Dolley Madison Award, and therefore, also of the Stars and Stripes Award.

Garibay and Token Receive Awards from NLAS

“American Heritage Girls Founder and Executive Director Patti Garibay and Public Relations Coordinator Jody Token of Ellisville, Mo., received adult leader religious recognition awards from the National Lutheran Association on Scouting (NLAS). Garibay was presented with The Servant of Youth Award. The Servant of Youth Award can be earned by an adult who has provided five years of service to Lutheran youth. Token was presented The Lamb Award. The recipient of The Lamb Award must be a Lutheran who has given 10 years of service to youth. “What an honor to receive this award from the NLAS,” says Patti Garibay. “Working on behalf of youth is my passion, sharing Christ with them through the AHG program is my mission.”

Token adds, “This award is for my daughters and for all the girls back at my AHG Troop. AHG is a natural fit in the Lutheran Church, seeking to raise up Christian leaders.” — Read more on Page 3 here: http://mo.lcms.org/ClientData/1076/Assets/voices/october%20november%202012%20voice%20online.pdf
