Children and parents are invited to be part of monthly interactive story times presented by the Coterie Theatre. Coterie Theatre artists read from favorite children’s books while audience members enjoy an opportunity to “jump into the story” and then participate in an improvised story of their own making.

Blue Springs Community Theater presents “Babes in Toyland”
We’d like to wrap this musical in gold paper with ribbons & bows all over it and attached a card saying, “Merry Christmas!” Come see as Wicked Uncle Barnaby tries to turn children into dolls and sell them for gold. Who will save the children — and Christmas?
Performances will take place Dec. 6-9 & 13-16. Thursday through Saturday, the house opens at 7pm and curtain raises at 7:30pm. Sundays, the house opens at 1:30pm and curtain raises at 2pm.

Join David zum Brunnen as Charles Dickens on the evening in 1843 when he created his holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol.” Renowned Dickens scholar, author, playwright, and lecturer, Elliot Engel crafted this work that allows zum Brunnen to portray 17 Christmas Carol characters and Charles Dickens himself all in one very special performance. “The Ravengers: World’s Not-So-Greatest Superheroes”, “Cloudy with a Chance of Pop Star”, or “The Princesses and the Silliest Tea Party in the World”.
3rd – 8th grade: “Boys vs. Girls: The Musical” or “The Worst Big Budget Action Movie… Ever!”
Takes place at Blue Valley Northwest High School, 132nd and Switzer, in Overland Park.
No experience is necessary.
$45 per student, with a 10% multi-child discount. Snacks, costumes, and admission to the 5 p.m. show for families is included.
